In winter, amid the mists, a magical atmosphere.
The beach has a special charm particularly for those who appreciate
walking along the shore or are not afraid of the waves or the cold. |

An August evening in Praia daAdraga beach. After
the departure of the vacationers, it is time for the fishermen to
take advantage of the low tide. |

An Atlantic Ocean beach, almost savage, with good
waves and thin sand. Encased between imposing cliffs, in spite of
being quite close to Lisbon, there are never too many people there |

Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of continental
Europe – and Praia da Adraga the westernmost of the European
beaches, except for two small and almost inaccessible bays. Of easy
access by road from Almoçageme, where you can take the road
that connects Sintra to Cascais on the coast and pass by Colares and
Guincho. All this area is included in a natural park, renowned by
its environmental wealth and its wonderful landscapes. Here there
is still a balanced combination between the old farms and palaces
celebrated by Lord Byron, the traditional rural occupation and the
tourist facilities that fit well in the surroundings. |
